ecoENERGY grants increased by 25%!
March 30, 2009/— As part of the Government of Canada's Economic Action Plan, the ecoENERGY Retrofit — Homes program has been expanded to help 200,000 more homeowners cover the cost of making energy-efficiency retrofits to their homes. The expanded time-limited program includes a $300-million increase in funding over two years.
The Ontario Government is expected to announce shortly that they will continue to match the federal grants at the increased rate. Please see our eco page for more info and link to the new grant table.

Successful first season for Well Aware
Hearthmakers had a successful first season, with fifty Well Aware visits completed in our area. We will be offering the program again next year, starting in April 2009, so book now to reserve your free well visit. You can book online, or give us a call at (613) 547-8122. We will have a limited number of well visits with our certified Water Guide available, on a first come, first served basis.

Residential Energy Efficiency Program is Back … Retrofit Your Home and Qualify for a Grant!
Effective April 1, 2007, a new residential energy efficiency assessment service and retrofit grant is available to owners of single family homes, including detached, semi-detached and low-rise multi-unit residential buildings that are no more than three storeys high. Under the ecoENERGY Retrofit program, property owners can qualify for federal grants by improving the energy efficiency of their homes, and reducing their impact on the environment. Learn more…
