Hearthmakers Energy Co-operative (HEC) is a Kingston-based enterprising non-profit organization that provides services and programs to improve the environmental sustainability of Eastern Ontario homes and communities. Current programs focus on home energy efficiency and groundwater protection. Hearthmakers is a founding member of the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association and a full member of Green Communities Canada.

HEC is seeking to fill the role of Customer Service Representative (part-time)

Description of Position

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Customer Service Representative will help coordinate the day-to-day activities of the ecoENERGY home retrofit program, Well Aware groundwater protection program, as well as various other office duties. Four days per week to start with the possibility of going to five. Based in downtown Kingston

Outline of Duties

  • Handling client enquiries - both phone and email
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Coordinating with field personnel
  • Helping with marketing initiatives
  • General office administration, filing, organizing office
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Office experience
  • Post-secondary education

Compensation: $13/hr x 28 hrs/week
