Stepping Out

As our streets become increasingly congested, the number of pedestrians dwindles and driving ironically becomes viewed as the safest route to travel. More than ever, members of the Kingston community are becoming concerned with their mental and physical environment and the environment they are providing for their children. The Stepping Out program consists of a three-year plan to promote Ontario families walking to and from school, and to address concerns of the need for sustainable transportation initiatives, as well as addressing essential health, environmental and child safety concerns. Hearthmakers is spearheading the Stepping Out program in Kingston.
